We’re listening to Cypress Hill and trying to figure out what malts and extracts to order.
Above is a 50lb. sack of Gleneagles malt from the UK on the front step of Sixpoint Brewery in Red Hook. Gleneagles is one of the last old-fashioned, floor malted barley producers left in the UK and hails from the Spey valley in Scotland. The barley is turned by hand with broad wooden rakes several times a day to keep the drying of the malt even. This Maris Otter malt is equally at home making traditional best bitter or whisky.
